Pioneer Football League Preview

Image
I have the utmost respect for the Pioneer Football League; a league that was formed in the early 90's for non-scholarship athletes to compete in Division I. In 2013 the league was awarded 1 automatic playoff bid. Last year the PFL sent Davidson to the FCS playoffs.  Although St. Thomas was  the winner, they were not eligible for the playoffs due to NCAA Rules.  In 2022 I will never forget watching Valparaiso go toe to toe with Illinois State - I definitely understood after that game that the PFL had real talent and could compete with anyone in the FCS on any given day. In 2023 the Pioneer Football  League is wide open any team can win. The league will be involed in some great college football atmospheres in the opening weeks of the season. Butler travel to Montana on 9/2 Stetson to Montana State 9/16 Drake to South Dakota State 9/16 and Valpo at Youngstown State 8/31.

BIG SKY Preview

The Hornets used Jake Dunniway and Asher Ohara at the quarterback along with the talented Cameron Skattebo . Well both QB's have graduated and Skattebo has transferred to power 5 Arizona State. In addition head coach Troy Taylor left to takeover at Stanford. The conference is always competitive however I see two teams at the forefront, Idaho and Mantana State. Now to be fair Montana will always compete and Dan Hawkins is on a mission to get UC Davis to the FCS playoffs on a Consistent basis. However Idaho has all of its offensive weapons coming back from last year Jermaine Jackson ,Mcoy Hatten.  Touchdown Tommy Mellott is back in Bozeman along with his talented backup Sean Chambers. Whoever wins the game between the Vandals and the Bobacats in late October will most likely win the...
