  This week's FCS Player of the week is Theron Gaines of Tennessee Tech. The defensive lineman had 7 tackles  3 sacks in a road win against Gardner Webb. Also 3.5 Tackles for loss.

   Nicholls State defense gets this week's honor.  A 66-0 blowout win over Mississippi Valley State is just what the program needed after a 1-3 start. Nichols will get back to work October 5th as they head to Baton Rouge to face Southern. 

  Jamario Clements of Duquesne Football is the FCS Nation player of the week. Clements had over 200 yards rushing and led his team to a win over Youngstown State. 

  Logan Tomlinson is this week's FCS Player of the week . The Wide Receiver for New Hampshire had 8 receptions  for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns in a road win vs Holy Cross.

Maverick Mclvor of Abilene Christian  put on a heck of a performance against his former team Texas Tech Saturday night. The Wildcats qb threw 0 interceptions and almost led his team to an upset over the red raiders in overtime. On the last play Texas Tech's defense came up with a big play to escape with a one point victory.
