Nicholls State Defense pitches a shutout

Nicholls State defense gets this week's honor. A 66-0 blowout win over Mississippi Valley State is just what the program needed after a 1-3 start. Nichols will get back to work October 5th as they head to Baton Rouge to face Southern.

The Southland 2025

June 18, 2025

UIW finished a perfect 7-0 in the conference in 2024. Incarnate Word continued its hot streak in the conference with their high flying offense. Southeastern Louisiana came in 2nd place at 6-1 with an overall record of 7-5. UIW will be the favorite again in 2025 unless someone can knock them out of the driver's seat of the conference. The NEC conference

Last year the NEC came down to Duquesne & Central Connecticut. Even though the Duqs had a better record, C Connecticut won the final game of the season which sent them to the FCS playoffs.
