West Florida joins the FCS

UWF has been a Division II powerhouse since they created a football program. Pete Shinnick now the head coach at FCS Towson led the Argonauts to their first national championship back in 2019. UWF is now led by Kaleb Nobles a former QB for the school. West Florida will leave Division II with an 81- 30 record. The school which is located in Pensacola will join the UAC conference for the upcoming 2026 season.
