Illinois State playing Oklahoma early in the year and winning against South Dakota State really helped their case at 8-4.

Harvard

Key Wins : Merrimack College ,Penn ,Yale

Key Losses : Yale

Important SOS Games : Penn 

Harvard was ranked all year and lost the last game to their rival. Beating UPenn helped their case because the Quakers played against top 5 Lehigh early in the season.

Lamar

Record 8-4  Conference 5-3

Key Wins : South Dakota

Key Losses : North Texas & Stephen F Austin

Important SOS Games : North Texas

Lamar had a big win against South Dakota early in the season which helped them immensely. 

New Hampshire 

Record 8-4  Conference 6-2

Key Wins : Monmouth

Key Losses : Ball State, Villanova & Rhode Island 

Important SOS Games : Ball State

New Hampshire beating a ranked Monmouth definitely helped with the selection process.

Austin Peay

Record 7-5  Conference 6-2

Key Wins : MTSU & UWG

Key Losses :  Georgia, ACU & Tarleton State

Important SOS Games : Georgia & MTSU

Austin Peay definitely had the best resume of all the teams that didn't get selected. On the road against SEC Georgia early in the season and a win over FBS MTSU all while taking top 10 ranked Tarleton to overtime last weekend.

Monmouth

Record  9-3 Conference  6-2

Key Wins : Villanova

Key Losses : Charlotte

Important SOS Games : Charlotte

Tough one for Monmouth after getting a win against top 25 Villanova.

Presbyterian 

Record 10-2 Conference 6-2

Key Wins : Mercer

Key Losses : Dayton & Davidson

Important SOS Games

Presbyterian had a huge win over Mercer, however the Blue Hose not playing an FBS team and losing to Dayton really hurt their cause. 

Southern Utah

Record : 7-5 Conference 6-2

Key Wins : ACU

Key Losses : UC Davis & UWG

Important SOS Games : Tarleton State University

A Huge win over ACU! Unfortunately for SUU they just ran out of time at the end of the season.
